为了应对全球癌症发病率和死亡率的不断上升，国际抗癌联盟（UICC）和世界卫生组织（WHO）于2000年签署“巴黎抗癌宪章”，规定2月4日为“世界癌症日”。2021年的活动主题为：“关爱患者，共同抗癌”。为此，光明网卫生频道特别策划世界癌症日系列节目，邀请业内大咖共话癌症防治。
